First Impressions of our Apartment

I was really tired in this video if you couldn't tell! Our arrival in Italy wasn't without its anticipated, unanticipated struggles. That is, things that were bound to go wrong despite being planned. We had trouble finding where to check in since we were not given an exact address, and we also had trouble communicating with the taxi driver. Additionally, there was no wi-fi until today (about 24 hours).
There is a grocery store right down the street where we will be going often I think. We will perform the walk down to the school many, many times in 4 months- it's the same direction to Allie's apartment, the school, or the bus station. It is difficult knowing what we have to do, but more should become clear in the next few weeks. Imagine coming to a country not unlike your own but uncomfortably foreign and in a different language, and you will be able to imagine how Italy feels. Everyone I have met that speaks English (save for the Student Services at NABA) only speaks it a fair amount, and when I ask a question or say a somewhat complex statement they stare back blankly. Thus, I think it will be up to us to pick up conversational Italian. Understanding the signs around are much different than responding to a question directed at me in Italian.
