Castello Sforzesco / ILLUMINATED MANUSCRIPTS!

The Castello was just a couple blocks away from the Cathedral, so we made our way there afterwards. The place was impressively large; however, I got distracted looking at some of the local wildlife.

Further into the building, I saw signs for a nativity story exhibit. It was odd because there were no other exhibits in the castle. It wasn't a museum, but I guess for Christmas they put up one exhibit. We weren't sure where the place was so we followed banners to a well hidden room that looked half closed off. We turned around until we saw a couple go into the room. I'm so glad we turned back around, as it was my favorite room so far-- The nativity story told through multiple illuminated manuscripts.

I love the thumbnail for that video. I have pictures from the Castello as well-- There's another album here. Also in that album: Some tents for Expo 2015 in Milan, which is a big deal around here, and the Arco della Pace (Arch of Peace) built in the early 1800s. The castle was finished in the 15th century, but the arch is much newer.
