4 days left - More details

I realized today that I didn't go into much detail about my trip. Let me elaborate on a few more things for those who don't know much about my trip.
As I've said, I'll be going to NABA - Nuova Accademia di Belle Arte, or New Academy of Fine Arts. This is a study abroad program set up with my school, York College of Pennsylvania. It's not an exchange program; we will go there and no one will come here. It's the first year this program is offered, and it was only offered to Fine Art and Graphic Design majors.
Because it is the first year for this program, not many people took advantage. Whether that is because the deadline came up to quickly, or they never got the memo, or they were nervous to be in the first group, it's anyone's guess. But it was decided that there are three of us going. Three Graphic Design juniors - Matt Stankiewicz, Allie Donahue, and myself. We have worked together to get through this fairly difficult process of applying, and we will have to stick together to survive a new school and a new culture.
On a side note, my peers have also made blogs to record their experiences. If you are interested, Matt's blog can be found here, and Allie's blog can be found here.
Matt and I will be roommates together in a 4 person apartment about 5 minutes from NABA. We do not know our other roommates, but I assume they will be students abroad as well that hopefully come from an English speaking country. Allie will be in another apartment with 3 others a few minutes away from us. Apparently we'll have a small kitchen to make meals, a common area, etc. We are not on campus. We will see how similar this housing is to student apartments in America.
Something I haven't paid much mind to, but will become very important soon, is my class schedule. I will be taking 5 art classes and one language class. Those classes are as follows:

- Layout and Visualization Techniques
-Packaging I
-Editorial Graphic Design
-Brand Identity
-Italian Design History
-Italian 102

I have no idea what to expect from my classes. I assume Italian 102 will be hard though. I have heard that many other countries' academic systems are not as prestigious as America (though some surely are more so). My friend that just finished a semester abroad in Australia told me how easy the classes were. Regardless, biology classes in Australia are much different than art classes in Italy.
So, that's a fair amount of additional details about my trip. I will post more when I think of them. Feel free to ask questions here in the comments of my posts as well. Anyone can comment here, and I'd love to answer your questions moving forward. Thanks for reading!
